    Mathematics a thousand years ago.

A thousand years ago the Egyptians used mathematics. They called a thousand ka. They used a picture of a lotus to represent ka. The name of the system was hieratikos. The system was very mixed. For example, the calculation of fourteen times nine. This is how they did it. First, they wrote a number and then they doubled it. They found the number which was equal to 2,4 and 8. Then they added them to get the total. It is very different and interesting.
