There lived an old poor woman with her son. She wanted to bake a cake and asked her son: "Bring me, my son, some flour from the store-room."

The son went to the store-room, took a full plate of flour and when he wanted to open the door of the house, the strong Northern Wind started up and flew the flour off. The boy came back to the store-room to take another plate of flour. But when he wanted to open the door, the cold Northern Wind started up and it seemed it would never stop. The Wind blew off the flour again and disappeared. The boy went to the store-room again but the third time it was just the same.

He got angry and decided to go to find the Wind to take his flour back. He took his sack put it on his shoulder and left the house.

The boy went and went and saw the Wind's house.

    - "Good afternoon", said the boy.

    - "Good afternoon to you", answered the Northern Wind. - What do you want?

    - "I want you to give back our flour you took from us. We are poor, we have nothing to eat now".

    - "I don't have any flour. But if you are in need I'll give you the tablecloth. It's a magic one. If you want to eat you'll say "Table-cloth give us something to eat and you'll have everything you want".

The boy was very glad, he took the table-cloth and went home. The way was very long and the boy got tired. So at night he stayed in the house of an old rich man and asked the table-cloth to give them something to eat. In a minute there were many tasty things to eat and to drink. "I want to have such a table-cloth", thought the rich man's wife. And when everybody went to bed she changed the table-cloth.

In the morning the boy took his bag and went home. When he saw his mum he said: "Now we'll live happily and we will never feel hunger."
