Once upon a time there lived a king. He had a wife and a beautiful daughter. The daughter was of age to be married off. And the king decided to marry her to the cleverest boy in the kingdom.
He sent his servants to tell the news that if anyone can enter the palace unnoticed and take off the ring from the princess' finger, he will be her husband. Nobody wanted to try his luck, because they knew that even a mouse couldn't enter the palace.
But one poor boy thought a little and said, "I'll try. I can die only once".
He went to the craftsman and asked him to make a clock. It might strike every hour with beautiful music and during it the knights and ladies appeared in the window and danced. When the craftsman made the clock he sold it to the king with a case. When the king saw the clock, when he heard the music and saw the dance, he paid a big sum of money and brought it home. The boy hid himself in the case. The king put the clock into his daughter's room. She spent the whole day
